Chocolate Cupcakes
Getting back to basics with a nice little cupcake recipe! Use chocolate buttercream or ganache to finish off!
Chocolate Cupcakes
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp bicarb
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup cocoa
- 150 g butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1½ cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- In a bowl sieve the dry ingredients together and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, cream the butter, vanilla and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time beating well between each addition.
- Fold in the flour mixture and milk.
- Scoop the batter into a lined cupcake tray (makes 24).
- Bake at 180⁰C for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
- Cool fully before icing with chocolate ganache
