Chocolate Cupcakes

Getting back to basics with a nice little cupcake recipe! Use chocolate buttercream or ganache to finish off!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp bicarb
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl sieve the dry ingredients together and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, cream the butter, vanilla and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time beating well between each addition.
  • Fold in the flour mixture and milk.
  • Scoop the batter into a lined cupcake tray (makes 24).
  • Bake at 180⁰C for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Cool fully before icing with chocolate ganache
