1-2-3 Cookies

1-2-3 Cookies

One of our most requested recipes. A simple and delicious cookie recipe that doesn’t spread so perfect for decorating.

This is a very versatile recipe, you can make a chocolate version by replacing a few tablespoons of flour with cocoa.

I use this mixture to make jam squares – pat 2/3 of the mixture into a greased 20cm tin, pile on a generous amount of jam and then grate the remaining cookie dough on top. Bake for about 30 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.

I also make variations by adding spices, chopped nuts and/or citrus zest.
